Downstream Equipment

Airchannel partners with the best to ensure optimum treatment
for compressed air

Downstream Equipment is a generic term for all the equipment that is used to treat the compressed air before it is used by the system. Typically this includes filters to remove oil and dirt, driers to remove water from the air and condensate management to handle contaminated water coming out of the system. If you think that 1 litre of compressed air at 7 bar is made up of 7 litres of atmospheric air with all its contaminants you can see why treatment is required, especially if you are working in an industrial environment.

From working with thousands of different customers in hundreds of different industries we understand that compressed air requirements can be very different, and selecting the right level of treatment is critical. Too much treatment is a waste of money, however too little can have disastrous consequences.

There is a lot of legislation associated with the compressed air production and treatment, specifically around the disposal of condensate and the quality of air that is used in any food handling. All our sales engineers have expert knowledge of this area and can ensure your system meets legislative requirements.
